Studs Terkel is a born story teller and a radio pro, even though, he says:
"I don't know how a tape recorder works!"

Clearly, though, he's been doing just fine without that technical acumen.

The stories Studs Terkel tells are nearly always about everyday folks. It's obvious that he cares for them deeply, and feels he's one of them... one of US.

We recently visited Studs in his Chicago home, where he talked with Mike Cuthbert about his life and career, and about his new memoir: Touch and Go.
