At first, it seemed like a joke. Older folks doing a cover of The Who's My Generation. Perfect for the YouTube crowd where things are often played for laughs. But the story got more interesting. The music video was actually the product of a social movement to improve the lives of seniors in the UK. In October, at the height of the excitement, Zimmer Peter Oakley and producer Neil Reed sat down with Mike Cuthbert for an interview about the video, and the movement behind it. You can find out more about the story at the website for Age Concern, which describes itself as "The UK's largest charity working with and for older people." And the website for documentary film producer Tim Samuels and his "Power to the People" programs, which spawned the Zimmers, is here. download the mp3 of our radio show with The Zimmers to your iPod or other player Play the segment with our MP3 Flash player
